Support is available for adults, children, young people, families, carers and people affected by suicide.
Support for adults
- Kent and Medway Safe Havens: Free, face-to-face mental health support in a welcoming, non-clinical setting. No referral or appointment is needed. Safe Havens support people aged 18 and over.
- Kent and Medway mental health support: Use the trust’s 'Need Help' page for urgent and non-urgent support options.
- Samaritans: Call 116 123, free, 24 hours a day.
- Shout: Text STAND to 85258 for free, confidential text support in Kent and Medway.
- Release the Pressure: Call 0800 107 0160 for confidential emotional support.
Support for children and young people
- Kent and Medway Children and Young People’s Mental Health Service (CYPMHS): Freephone 0800 011 3474.
- NHS 111: Select the mental health option for urgent support.
- Kooth: Free, safe and anonymous online mental health support for people aged 10 to 25 in Kent and Medway.
- Childline: Call 0800 1111 for free, confidential support for anyone under 19.
- Shout: Text YM to 85258 for free text support for young people.
Support for families, friends and carers
If you are worried about someone, support is available for you as well as for them. Talking to a trained professional can help you share your concerns, understand what to do next and look after your own wellbeing.
