The Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust’s charity is inviting local people to get creative this season by taking part in a festive greeting card design competition.

The competition is seeking original artwork that portrays beautiful winter landscapes, festive traditions and cheerful characters to raise funds for The Kent and Medway Mental Health Charity.

The 5 winning designs will be selected to feature on the charity's official festive card collection, will be professionally produced and sold to patients and staff throughout the winter season. All proceeds will help fund projects and activities that support the mental health and wellbeing of patients, carers, families and staff across Kent and Medway.

The competition is open to people of all ages and artistic abilities, including children, young people, families, schools, community groups, patients and amateur artists. Entries can be submitted as hand-drawn artwork, paintings, collages or digital illustrations. AI-generated artwork will not be accepted.

Please read our full design brief and competition terms and conditions for details on how to submit an entry. The closing date for submissions is Friday 6 November.

Kirsty McInnes, Charity and Volunteers Lead at Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust, said: "The festive season means different things to different people, and we want to celebrate the wonderful traditions, cultures and communities across Kent and Medway through this year's Christmas card competition.

"Whether you choose to create a cosy winter scene or draw your own festive traditions, we would love to see artwork that captures connection, hope, kindness and community. You do not need to be a professional artist to take part. We are encouraging people of all ages to get involved and share their creativity."

A judging panel made up of charity representatives, staff, volunteers and community members will review the entries and select 5 winning designs.

The Kent and Medway Mental Health Charity works alongside Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust to fund projects and initiatives that go beyond what NHS funding can provide. This includes improving care environments, supporting wellbeing activities, funding innovative projects and enhancing experiences for patients, carers, families and colleagues.
