111 Tonbridge Road Rehabilitation Unit

The team at 111 Tonbridge Road is a female‑only inpatient unit, providing a safe and supportive environment for adult women with complex mental health issues. The team offers intensive, multidisciplinary assessment, treatment and care, supporting individuals on their recovery journey and empowering them with the knowledge and skills to ensure their recovery is sustainable in their local community, so they can live more fulfilling, independent lives.

The team works together to develop care plans focusing on individual goals for recovery. Individual and group interventions and personalised social and vocational activities in the community are central to the therapy programme that we deliver.

Whilst at 111 Tonbridge Road, people can expect to develop skills through an individually tailored recovery care plan and activity programme including:

  • Management of mental ill health
  • Activities of daily living
  • Cognitive skills
  • Self awareness/ confidence building / anxiety management
  • Budgeting skills / goal planning
  • Physical health and well-being
  • Recovery and moving on group
  • Hobbies and social activities
  • Introduction to community resources (MIND, Vocational rehab, leisure centre, adult education etc)

Arrangements for under 16s to visit

Visitors under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times whilst visiting the unit. These must be pre-arranged with the nursing staff, as at times the environment may not be suitable for children.

What can I bring in?

Visitors are discouraged from bringing pets into the unit and will be expected to adhere to relevant policies. If you have any queries around items you wish to bring in, please contact the ward before you visit.
