Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust has been rated in Segment 1, the top group, in the latest NHS check on how well trusts are doing. The second quarter results show that the trust is performing strongly in important areas such as patient care, safety and how well it manages its money.

Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust has retained its Segment 1 status in the second quarter NHS Oversight Framework results published by NHS England.

The NHS Oversight Framework is the national system for assessing how well NHS trusts are performing and identifying where additional support may be needed. Trusts are placed into one of five segments, with Segment1 being the strongest overall performance.

Remaining in Segment 1 reflects the trust’s strong performance across a wide range of measures, including patient experience, clinical outcomes, quality of care and financial sustainability.

The NHS Oversight Framework supports transparency across the health service by assessing performance across a broad set of indicators. More information about the framework is available on the NHS England website.
