Every year, the Healthwatch Recognition Awards celebrate the inspiring work happening across Kent and Medway to make health and social care better for everyone. This year, colleagues from our trust took home two fantastic awards.

Our Perinatal Mental Health team were granted a recognition award in the category ‘Involving people in commissioning and delivery of services.’

Dr Chidi Nwosu, Consultant Perinatal Psychiatrist, said:

“It is truly an honour for the service and strengthens our determination to continue to deliver high quality services for those we care for. It was a lovely evening and a huge opportunity to learn of the amazing work going on within the county.”

We were also delighted to see Dr Jo Rodda, Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry and Dementia Research Theme Lead, successful in the category ‘Inspiring Individuals.’

Jo has transformed dementia clinical research in the region, bringing national innovation into local services, embedding lived experience at every stage, and paving the way to earlier, fairer, more accessible assessment and support.

We are incredibly proud of all our colleagues who go above and beyond every single day to help people in Kent and Medway live well.
